Robert Vega is a faith-driven restaurant entrepreneur with more than 35 years of experience in the restaurant industry. He began his journey at 16 years old as a dishwasher and worked his way through every level of operations. However, Robert’s path was not without deep personal challenges. At one point, his struggles nearly cost him everything, including his family. That changed when he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ—and from that moment, everything turned around. His hunger to learn more about his faith, along with his desire to become a better husband, father, and provider, reshaped the direction of his life. His career shifted dramatically upward as opportunity after opportunity presented itself, eventually leading him to become Vice President of Restaurant Operations and now the owner of eight Schlotzsky’s franchise restaurants in the San Antonio area.

After a life-changing ACTS retreat, Robert felt called to use business as a platform for faith, service, and community impact. That calling led to the creation of 12 Steakburgers & Tithes, a purpose-driven restaurant concept where faith, food, and giving come together. The mission of 12 is to serve great food while permanently giving 10% of net food sales back to local schools, ministries, nonprofits, and community partners. Through this venture, Robert hopes to show that entrepreneurship can be more than just building a business—it can be a meaningful way to serve others, strengthen communities, and give glory to God.
